Pinterest T-Shirt Scarf

We're back to our old nemesis friend Pinterest.

A LOOOOOONG time ago, I came across this pin.

I have since made a dozen of them and sold about half that.
Below are some pics:

These are so easy to make. The hardest part is cutting the loops. Once you've done that, all you have to do is tie them together.

I love that you can pull the scarf through itself so you don't have to tie a bulky knot but the scarf still stays in place.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Tassel Necklace

Another project I tackled last Saturday was this tassel necklace

I really just used the photo for inspiration, not looking at how the original poster did it.

I knew I could make tassels from my incredible stash of embroidery floss. So, I did.

To make the tassel, I made a a loop, strung the chain through, wrapped off a section of the loop toward the chain, and cut the bottom end of the loop in half. (Reminded me of making yarn angels when I was little.)

(Note my lovely chalkboard tray I also made that Saturday)

I put my own spin on it by just doing one long tassel instead of multiple short ones. No, it had nothing to do with the fact that my incredible stash of embroidery floss wasn't conducive to the Ombre look.

I love these chains so much. I found them with initial charms on them at Michael's for 25 cents.
25 CENTS!!!

You can't get 20" of colored ball chain for 25 cents. Plus, I figured I could always figure out something to do with the letters. I think I'm noticing a trend with me and Michael's Clearance.

Sick

So, the last time we saw each other, I was telling you about an crazy crafty weekend that I had and how I was going to show you the projects I got done.

And then nothing.

The long and short is that I've been sick.

BUT, I've been feeling better and I'm going to finally put up those posts I was telling you about.

Stay tuned.

A Crafty Crafty Weekend

Lawdy, lawdy, did I do a lot last Saturday.

I had been planning to do a lot of crafting since I finally got some energy. (Turns out I've been fighting a parasite for over a month. Go figure.)

I made a list of projects I wanted to do, got all my supplies together, and had at it.

Sadly, I didn't tackle quite my whole list, but then, I don't think I really expected to.

Anywho, here are some sneak peeks of what I did accomplish with posts on all them to come.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

A Couple New Beaded Bracelets

You may remember my Beaded Bracelet kick from a few weeks ago. If not, you can refresh your memory here.

This caused me to branch out into a different kind of beaded bracelet.

Not too blingy, understated, simple, really my kind of bracelet.

I got 15 in strands of gemstone beads from Fire Mountain Beads for less than $2 a piece. The rose bead and heart charm I already had.

I see a lot more of these in my future.

What do you think?

Thanks for coming by and have a great day.

Cross Stitch Results

Ya'll might remember me telling you here that I was taking up Cross Stitch for the first time. Well, I kept going with until Christmas happened. I managed to do quite a few little things before then and below are some pictures of them.

Somehow, I miscounted when I tried to do the swag

And miscounted AGAIN on the top swag. One of these, oh one of these days.

The patterns that didn't come from kits came from Pinterest, no surprise right? Well, I was surprised at how many Cross Stitch patterns there are on Pintrest and plenty of ways to use the finished products.

Pinwheel cross stitch
I'm thinking of doing some necklaces like the one above.

Thanks for coming by and have a great day.

Some Beaded Bracelets

After I made the bracelet's for our dear family friend Debbie, see here, I got in a bit of a bracelet making kick. I've had tons of seed beads and all sorts of other beads FOREVER and I figured now would be the best time to FINALLY use them. I went on such a kick I think I made nearly 3 dozen in one day. Granted, while they're not spectacular, they're still something.

I'll probably make some earrings to go with them in the near future. You can expect to see more soon.

Thanks for coming by and have a great day.
